We joined the Mercian group in January 23.
Both of us are sports minded & sociable, so when the opportunity came up we were delighted.
Malcolm:
I took up Bowls way back in the late 1980’s, going on to play for Devon Under 40s then senior team. In 2008 we moved to Cyprus where I was fortunate to play international bowls in places like Australia, Israel, Hong Kong and China. I still play competitive bowls at Plymouth North Down BC.
Maureen:
Is a social bowler as her time was spent being a very active member of the Plymouth Netball League. Both on court as an umpire and off court as Chairperson of both senior and junior leagues and organised many tournaments and competitions. She can be particularly proud of the junior section which she took a great interest in and helped build until she retired.
At the Don Pablo we’ve enjoyed providing fun enjoyable Bowls matches & helping new bowlers to learn the sport and hopefully come back to the UK and join a club .We loved seeing old friends & look forward to meeting new ones.
